The Day..

3 years.
36 months.
156 and a half weeks.
1,095 days.

The day when my life truly began. The day when I learned that love had a whole new meaning. The day when I gave my heart away. The day I never knew I could love some one so so much. The day I knew there will never be anything else in this world quite as beautiful as you. That day and every day following in time I realized your life was and will be more significant than my very own. The day I solemnly swore id do everything in my power to protect, nourish you with tons of loving and caring, and then some to mold you into the greatest you can be. The day that butterflies practically moved in and LIVED in my tummy.

3 years.
36 months.
156 and a half weeks.
1,095 days.

The day that seems as though it was only yesterday. Only yesterday when I first held you, squeezed you, cried over you, looked into those teenie squinty brown-gray eyes, grabbed your delicate little fingers, grazed my hands across your so soft cheek. When I first told you 'hi,' and that 'I love you', face to face. You were the most precious thing I had ever seen, in my entire life(and you still are). And you were mine. You were me, and I - you.

3 years ago.... your birth day.

Now, on this day - September 30th, 2011. well.. I've realized you aren't that little 'baby' boy anymore. You're a toddler, you are your very own person. You're independent. You clean up your messes. You behave better than any young child I've known. What are terrible twos? Cause I don't know. You're old enough that you no longer need mommy's help in the bathroom. You remind me to look out for passing cars before we cross the street. You tuck yourself in when it's bed time(some nights). When it's time to read your favorite 'night night' book, i'm listening to YOU. I have more inside jokes with you, than I do with anyone else. You draw astonishing pictures for me.We're always playing Monster Trucks, and hey.. i'm perfectly okay with that, there isn't anything id rather be doing. I love when you sing me nursery rhymes, and your alphabet song, too cute. You never fail to make me smile, and laugh, even at the most simplest things. You are truly one smart cookie. A sure handsome one at that.

And Landon.. mommy couldn't be more proud of you.

"The day I never knew I could love someone so so much." And with every passing day, that love I never knew, continues to grow and grow. I feel like the luckiest woman in the world - because I have you.

You truly are - perfect.

PS. Who am I kidding? You'll always be my baby boy. Always.

Simple & Cozy

Jars of cute, right? I'll have plenty of that for you through out this blog. Here a quick, easy and in the end - simple, cozy, home-y decor, :)

You'll need to haaaave,
Your average Mason Jar, Twine,
Anything floral. Simple enough, right? :) I particularly love my flowers white.
Jared flowers can go with almost any style in a household, traditional, retro, rustic.. you get the idea, right? ;)
And if you're wanting the flowers to coordinate with the colors you've chosen, you want to match the floral color to your secondary choice of color in your decor. If you have more than two colors, chose the third to most common color. In doing so, they'll be more easily to catch sight of, capturing the attention of your lovely household guests!
When twining your jar, make sure to keep it as tightly as you possibly can.
After cutting your desired length of twine, find the center.
Hold the center of the string with one finger on the back of your jar, with one half of the twine - wrap it around, going upwards. Then take the other half of the string and wrap downwards. Have the two ends meet in the back. Tie in a neat bow. DON'T cut any extra twine, let it all hang for that extra homemade look.
Put as many flowers in it as appeals to you, :)

Spare coin bank.
I dump the contents of my purse out about every two weeks, and behold there is, on average, a ton of change at the bottom that rolls out. Mason jars make a great piggy bank for loose coins!

Hope you enjoyed! :)

Project Venture

Today, Landon and I took a long stroll around our complex, just to sight see and sit in the comfy grass by the ponds to feed our local neighbors(the ducks of course, hehe). So once we got on our shoes and grabbed our things we head downstairs, to be immediately bombarded by, who else? The ducks, lol. What started off as a whole loaf of bread to last us through our walk didn't make it past the end of the porch. I brought along my camera to because.. well, I haven't been giving it a whole lot of lovin' lately. That, and I wanted to get a few new photos of Landon, :). So here is our little adventure from this afternoon, enjoy! :)

They usually snatch it right out of his hand, he's gotta be quick!

These are our favorite ducks, they're nicer, shy, don't invade personal space. That's my kinda duck!

We recently had a ton of rain the past two days, and the water is running much higher than usual, so this is what Landon says to me once he sees it
"HUH! MOMMY OH NOOOO! THE GRASS IS GONNA DROWN!"
I couldn't help but laugh out loud. Lol.

The picture I was waiting to capture. My favorite of the day.

We will definitely be going much more frequent walks together, :)

A little about... me! :D

Hello new readers! Well, this is my first ever blog. It's taking me all day to get the jist of all this blog business and to actually post something. And since this is my first post, I might as well start off my new blog by telling you some things about myself! And there's never really an easy way to just start off describing yourself, or naming off interests and hobbies, so i'll do a quick short activity I came up with to help you get to know me, it's called the 5/5/5 - I'll tell you 5 facts, 5 hobbies, and 5 dislikes. Let's begin, shall we? :)

5 facts
  • I just recently graduated from beauty school, to be a Paramedical Aestheticism. You know, the people who do facials and all that fun business.
  • I am very easy to please. Ex. Id rather stay in and cuddle on the couch watching movies, then go out to dinner, expecting flowers, followed by a movie. Ex. 2 I'm addicted to the cheap frozen .50 cent burritos from the grocery store, lol.
  • I sometimes sneak out onto the balcony early in the mornings to enjoy the sunrise. I think they're as beautiful as the sunsets we have, :b
  • To this day I enjoy a cute Disney Movie, :b
  • My favorite type of food, is definitely italian. Anything with sauce and noodles, mmm.

5 hobbies
  • Love getting down and dirty with something crafty to do!
  • I love the water and being in it, whether it's the ocean at the beach, a river, the pool or just a simple hot bubble bath, :)
  • Tennis. Nuff' said!
  • Going out and enjoying the great outdoors(when it's bearable and not crucially hot outside)
  • Baking! What other hobbie is greater than that? Making something and being able to indulge in it afterwards? It's a total win win!

5 dislikes

  • Impatience, not other peoples, but my own. I, myself am a little bit on the impatient side.. lol
  • Old movies >.<  I'll find myself changing the channel or leaving the room!
  • Things not cleaned or absolutely unorganized.
  • Smoking. Not so much as the people doing the smoking, just myself being in the midst of the smoke itself. Worst smell ever.
I'm in a wicked rush, so I only left you with four dislikes! I may get on later tonight to create my third blog, :)
