5 incredibly SIMPLE skin care tips:

1. Protect yourself from the sun.

The most important way to take care of your skin is to protect it from the sun.
  • Avoid the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Wear protective clothing.
  • Use sunscreen when you're in the sun.

2. Don't smoke.
Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to wrinkles.

3. Treat your skin g.e.n.t.l.y.!

Daily cleansing and shaving can take a toll on your skin, so keep it gentle:
  • Limit bath time. Hot water and long showers or baths remove oils from your skin.
  • Avoid strong soaps.
  • Shave carefully. To protect and lubricate your skin, apply shaving cream, lotion or gel before shaving.
  • Pat dry.
  • Moisturize dry skin.

4. Eat a healthy diet.
A healthy diet can help you look and feel your best.

5. Manage stress.

Uncontrolled stress can make your skin more sensitive and trigger acne breakouts and other skin problems.

Snagged.

Snagged from another blogger, don't do these much, so what the heck, i'll give it a try - :)

Obsessing over: that it actually feels like winter is here, finally. And by finally here, I mean it's finally in the 60's.(Go Florida!)

Working on: becoming healthy. Getting my butt in shape. It's been bothering me for a while.. just can't seem to find the support, motivation, or encouragement I need though. Hasn't begun.. yet.

Thinking about: playing some CODmw3.(It's a video game.. i'm a huge gamer... :b)

Anticipating: letting Landon pick out our Christmas tree! He keeps talking about it through out every day. Everywhere we go we see Christmas trees. And I am anticipating buying all the decorations, and lights that get to go on it, hehe.

Listening to: Landon talk to his duck as he's falling asleep. He's slept with it since he was an infant. Every.Single.Night.
This is an older photo of him. He was about two and a half. But that's his duuuuck.

Drinking: a Coca - Cola.

Wishing: Theron could be here to help pick out our first Christmas Tree together. It'll be our first Christmas in our very own home. So sad he is going to miss it. But thankful none the less he will be home for the day of Christmas!

I think from-now-on i'll post a random photo every night, of nothing in-particular really. Something, I love, find silly, cute, lovely, inspirational, seasonal... anything. And here is a random photo from/for today.
totally cheesy, I know! I love him so much, especially when he sneaks me kisses in the middle of taking a photo. He's a goof/mush ball for sure. :)

Just cool enough for hot chocolate.

The temperature is finally perfect. I can open up the sliding glass doors, turn off the air, let the cool breeze rush in  and keep it cool enough in here that we have to snuggle up with long sleeved Pj's and drink our hot chocolate on the couch together while watching Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. Any TV station still playing that old cartoon is nothing short of amazing. Landon la la looved it.

But earlier today -
We have some overly friendly ducks...
"GAWWWWWWWD, is that what I sound like?!?!?!"
I think it has to be one of my favorite thing about things Winter. Nothing like snuggling in blankets and enjoying hot cups of thaaaat! ;)

Ramblings of today.

Ahh, today was a gooood day.
Let me start off from last night.. Id like to thank Landon in particular for breaking my phone. I was beyond annoyed with it. It was always acting up, had something wrong with it all the time. If it wasn't one thing, it was another. It was slow, didn't alert me for incoming or missed calls, it would sit charging all night, taken off in the morning only to have it be put back on charge again by noon! No wonder they stopped manufacturing them suckers. But I went to Sprint yesterday with it in mind that Id like a new phone all together, which I wasn't sure if they would let me do that, even if it was of equal or lesser value. And to no one's surprise, they wouldn't allow it. BUT! they did give me a 550 dollar phone, for free, just by adding an additional line onto our account for another 20 bucks a month! Which I have been wanting a phone for the house anyhow, just for emergencies. So I got my new phone..

Samsung Conquer 4g(whatever 4g means? Something with signal I think?) At any rate! I was a little skeptic at first cause I'm one of those people who h.a.v.e. to have a keyboard. I figured I should just give it try.. who uses them anymore anyways, right? But they have this really neat thing called swype for all my typing. I don't have to lift my finger off the screen for each letter. I just drag my finger across the letters I need and it predicts the word for me. Who comes up with this stuff? It is convenient, but totally unnecessary if you ask me. And the BEST perk of all? Is I have a second camera on the front of my screen, and that means Theron and I get to video chat! Which we already have last night and tonight, LOVE IT! He showed me what he could of the boat, it was pretty cool, :). He said when my face is too close to the phone, that I look cross-eyed. So much for attempting to look hot for my man... :/ lol Anywho, I already am loving this phone so much more than my other one. And it was F.R.E.E. Can't get any better than that!
Anywhooo, back to today.. Landon and I woke up, he helped me make a yummy nutritional breakfast, to start off the morning. We sat down at the table and we discussed all the things we had and wanted to do today. Because he had to tag along with me for errands, which is no fun, I let him decide what we would do afterwards. He chose the park, naturally. We got all washed up, dressed and headed out the door. Did everything we need to do and went to the park.

We had to of been there over two hours, my feeties were hurting!(sandals don't have to be comfortable as long as they look good.) And he was beyond pooped out! Poor little guy, couldn't even put together full sentences while on the way home, lol. Once we got home, he did his favorite thing to do, which is youtube monster truck videos. While this momma made some chili spaghetti. Landon ate the spaghetti plain, :/ I don't think it has to do with my cooking, he just likes plain noodles, (really, it isn't my cooking!) :x

Oh, and something that truly makes my days, is getting a random picture from a certain somebody while he's gone... :)

I love his little Russian hat, he looked hottttttttt for our video chat with it on, hehe.
Miss that face entirely too much...

Going craaazy

A certain little boy messed up his mommy's phone.

I have not had a phone in two days. And it haaad to happen once I decided to take that big leap and delete my Facebook, coincidence? I have no way to contact aaany friends.. It's driving me absolutely bonkers! It is a nice little break from all this technology that we surround ourselves with these days.
Wanna do a big shout out to Black Friday. Just wanna say thanks, I was not able to get my phone fixed yesterday due to the fact that the only thing Sprint was doing all day was making deals and preparing new contracts for soon to be upset costumers.
What is a girl to do?

Anywho, Christmas is right around the corner, time to start decorating, buy some lights and of course our first tree for our first home. Can't wait for Landon to pick out our tree(I have complete faith in him that he will pick out a great one, lol.) Downfall is, daddy won't be here to help us chose. It'll only be Landon and I. LUCKILY he will be coming home a few days before Christmas, and will be here through the holidays! Yay! Gotta take the bad with the good, right?

Here is a cute little idea, Landon and I plan to do for the Christmas Tree, and maybe you guys may like the idea and do it with your little ones as well, :)

Do you have any neat ornaments you're making with your family this year? Please share! :)

November 22, 2011

Today, was a good day. Great day.
Things that made it good you ask? - I think the main thing was that I trimmed my hair, and decided to blow dry it, to my surprise, it came out greeeat! Not too frizzy anymore now that I trimmed a ton from underneath - off. Weird something as simple as a hair-do can start your day out good. I know i'm the only lady who looks in the mirror in the morning, think you look great and feel like you can concur just about a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g., am I right? Yeeeeeah, lol.

Another was that Landon and I went out to lunch with my mom. We decided to try a new place, called Babalu Resturaunt. They had just about everything on the menu. I was torn between a fish sandwich, Reuben, and meatloaf sandwich(Say whaaat?!) I know I know, it sounds horrifying, but reading it made it seem so good. meatloaf slices on Texas toast with american cheese, mmm. I ended up playing it safe though, and ordered the Reuben. Always a good choice. Landon had his usual, a hotdog and french fried, and lately(for some strange reason) Landon's favorite part of every meal that involves buns, is the bread itself. Whether it's hotdog buns, bread slices for his pb&j, it's weird right? Just plain bread. Lol.

After lunch we came home. Landon spent time on the computer youtubing 'Monster Trucks' for about an hour. That's what his daily dose of internet consists of, everything monster trucks.
(Here's a little something funny.. On his cartoon channel, there is this moose, that names off all the things he's thankful for, at the end, he looks at the whomever is watching(Landon) and asks 'what are you thankful for?' And what does Landon reply with?...'I'm thankful for Monster Jam' talking to TV, lol, it was the cutest thing ever) And it even made me realize that it doesn't matter how young or old you are, anybody can be thankful for something. :)

While Landon was surfing through youtube videos, I decided to do some reading. I'd totally love to explain the book I am reading, but it is just way too complex to do so. So I won't even try, i'll just give myself a horrible headache, lol.

And then like almost every night, around the same time, we'll pick out a movie, we try to mix it up every once in a while, I can't even tell you how many times I've seen the movie Cars, and Robin Hood, Landon has both the movies entirely memorized.. So we threw a popcorn in the microwave, grabbed a blankey, turned the lights out, snuggled up on the couch together and watched Tarzan, :)

Oh and we spent about 30 minutes using the webcam and taking silly pictures with each other, lol..

I love my big little boy. You can totally see he gets his silly personality trait from his mama! Hehe.

Well lovely friends, that about sums it up for today.
Please feel free to share with us all the fun adventures you and your family did on this wonderful day. :)

Teaser Tuesday

Here are the rules:
1. Grab your current read.
2. Open to a random page
3. Share two teaser sentences from anywhere on that page.
4. Be careful not to include spoilers -- you don't want to ruin the book for other readers!
5. Include the name of the book and author so others can check it out ;)

Here's mine:
"She lunged at him then, her open palm swung toward him as if she was moving in slow motion, and he had plenty of time to deflect or dodge it. He did neither."

November 21, 2011

I haven't blogged in a while.

It's been over a week since my last post.
I've always check it through out the each day, click on 'New Post', but for some reason, nothing ever comes to mind.
I just don't know what to blog about these days.
I'm not sure if i'm properly using this thing right, what do I blog about?
Honestly, I don't know. :/

I guess i'm going to turn this thing into a sort of journal.
Every night before bed, take a little time to write out my daily thoughts, what today brought upon me and my family, all that good stuff.

But for now, my mind is blank, so i'll begin it tomorrow, :)

Hope everybody has had a greeeat week!

November 14, 2011

Another 'last' day.

This past week has been a ton of fun, considering I got to spend with Landon AND Theron.
Unfortunately..  today is his last day(already?!... :/).

This week, we did all sorts of fun, family stuff, with mine and his.
First, we finally squeezed in some time for so much needed 'us' time, just him, Landon and I.
The three of us took a trip to the zoo! The day was just so perfect. And anyone who knows Florida, perfect days are truly hard to come by, lol.
Needless to say, Landon and the best time ever! We had the chance to see each and every animal and - go on every single ride.
And I don't mean just the baby train or the super slow Merry-Go-Round, i'm talking kid coaster! Landon, my just turned THREE YEAR OLD wanted to go on the roller coaster?!! I almost didn't even bother trying, I just knew he would begin to cry as soon as we turned into the first drop.
To my surprise(And I mean H-U-G-E surprise) Landon enjoyed it... he even copied the family in front of us and put his hands in the air and yelled 'WOOOO!'
I turned skeptic and asked myself where in the world is my little mama's boy at?! He should be clinging to me and screaming for comfort?! He's on a FLIPPIN' ROLLER COASTER for goodness sake!! Talk about a slap in the face from reality... :/
After getting off he immediately ran to daddy for a high five followed by an applaud.
Then - it was time for some lunch. Grabbed a bite and continued on our little safari venture through Africa!(my favorite part of the zoo cause I looove giraffe's!) And lucky for us, we're able to feed them there. Landon likes them too, and minus the slimy hands from the Giraffe's tongue, he loved it as well, :)

We had a great time.

We got to go out to eat and have a fun time with his parents and Cody's. I think it's my new fave place, they never disappoint. We ordered ridiculous amounts of food, I think by the time our entree actually came, I had two pieces of my quesadilla and couldn't eat anymore... Landon actually likes their salad, lol.. weirdo, :b
We all had a great time spending time with each other, chatting and laughing, but mostly eating, away! The bacon cheese fries are to die for! mmm :)

Friday, we went out to the beach with our best friends and took some photos out on the beach. Another perfect day may I add. We've been lucky with this amazing weather the past week.
I'll share a few photos with you guys from friendly picture taking adventure! :)

It was a busy day on the beach, considering it was 11-11-11 and a lot of people were getting married. We saw four weddings, just by us, to be exact, lol..

Sophia, Landon and Matt. (Landon is Sophia's Godson)

Clearly, the sun did not work out in our favor, we caught all the shadows with our face, lol.
But they still turned out wonderful! I think, :)

Saturday, we went to Ribfest with my parents, I usually go almost every year, this was Theron's first time that he remembered cause he was so little the only time he went.
Anywho, one of my all time fave bands ever played(STYX!) and oh man.. they frikkin rocked it!! They were awesome!
Not to mention the deeelicious ribs and sweets(I indulged in some funnel cake and fried oreos.. they're my fave treat, hehe).
It was a great night. It was a great week.

Of course, with us, all good weeks come to an end, and sometime early tomorrow morning, it'll again be Landon and I will be by ourselves. Not looking forward to missing Thanksgiving with him. Would have been great to have our first holiday dinner in our very first home. BUT there is always Christmas, which  thankfully he will be home for!(Yayy!)

Well friends and bloggy friends, it's time to head out, have a long to-do list on our last day. Hope everyone had an amazing week, and weekend. Thanks for reading! :)

Is there anyone out there who can help me with fonts?

I found this awesome site, with hundreds of great fonts to download - for free.
{ It was called Dafont.com }
I found a lot of fonts I absolutely loooved.
After downloading and installing them into my computer, I still have no idea how to even open them with any program(Like paint, Wordpad..)

Not all changes are good...

Theron only has one week left home.
And honestly, it feels like he has only been home for no more than a few days..
Unfortunately, some things were worked out at work, and his hitch schedules have been changed, nothing he could of done about it.

Originally, Theron worked 40 days straight way up North on a designated boat, to come home for 20 days off, to do whatever we pleased.
The hitch he worked before this trip home was the beginning of his new schedule.
Instead of doing 40/20 he is now having to do 34/16.

It may not seem like a big deal... but with the 20 days home we were already spending everyday being busy.
Balancing our days between what we need to get done, when do we see his family, my family.. our friends.
Before we know it he's already flying back to work..
We never get a day to just lounge around the house, and relax.
We are always doing something.

Now, him only being home for 15 days(the 16th day I don't count since it's his travel day and leaves at 5am for the airport) but 15 days home is nowhere near enough time for a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g.
We were already an unorganized mess with things-to-do when he got home, and now we just got knocked off another 5 days.

I cherished every single day, in those 20 days.
And they took 5 of them away from us!!

Maybe I'm being a big baby.
I know there are many more women who go without seeing their significant other much longer than what I am dealing with.
And some of those women can handle it, they were meant to be able to brace, hang tough in this sort of thing.
I like to believe I am one of those women, but sometimes I truly wonder.
I know compared to how others may have it, I have it good. Extremely good.
I am thankful, no doubt.
I'm just pretty upset I don't get enough of him anymore.

Okay. I'm done ranting. Time for bed and to snuggle next to theeee love of my life in bed.

Thanks for reading! Have a great night/day, :)

Fill in the blank Friday.

Just linked up with The Little Things We Do for some Friday fun! :)

1. My favorite thing about this week was/is.. Halloween. Everything about that night was perfect. It was a beautiful night, Landon had a wonderful time with his cousins. And that Theron was able to make it home in time to join all of us.

2. Colder weather makes me.. sad. I love the warmth.

3. Three things that make me happy are.. Landon's smiles and laughter, My hunnie getting done with the hitch at work and spending time home with us, and the Holidays! :)

4. If I could only wear one kind of shoe for the rest of my life.. it would be flip flops, brown in-particular.

5. My personality type is.. a bit shy, but hidden deep within is the hugest goofball you'd ever meet! ;)

6. I have a serious problem resisting.. sweets. Some people have a sweet tooth, I have sweet TEETH. hehe

7. My favorite color to wear is.. Earth tone colors. Browns, grays, teals, auburn, beige, sandy colors..

November 4, 2011

Dear blog, So sorry. It's been too long.

It's been about a week since I've posted.
Between Halloween, and Theron coming home, it's been a pretty busy household, and we haven't had a chance at all to sit back and relax, yet.
But, i'm making the time, although still - this won't be a very long post.

Let's just say this past week, I have been one happy camper!!!
Been going to sleep every night, next to the love of my life.
Laying down in bed at night together, falling asleep with each other.
then, waking up, and starting our day t.o.g.e.t.h.e.r.
Ahh..

Me actually making dinner(which is crazy to those who know me, cause I cannot cook)
Us walking and Landon in the middle holding both our hands and we'll swing him.
Landon coming to cuddle up in between us in the middle of the night.
Just watching the two of them makes me so happy.
Seriously, I could not be happier right now. *insterts huge smile here*

Theron, our little Batman, and myself.

I'd have to say, I've never seen Landon so frikkin cute before!
Cause, since we were with Theron's family, and Landon has a lot of cousins around his age, only months separate them from age, Landon being the youngest.. He would have to run to keep up with them, and watching him in his little muscled costume, candy bag in one hand, the other flailing around in the air, he just made my heart melt to pieces.
And usually he isn't into wearing weird things(costumes) and doesn't wanna have anything to do with them.
But, after trick or treating, and the kids took off their costumes, Landon wanted to keep his on.
Maybe i'm just a huge mushball, but I almost cried the entire time we walking from house to house.
This was definitely the perfect year, and Halloween we have had yet!
I really hope Theron can make it home for every Halloween.
Cause this one, just felt complete.

Let's get going to the photos! Get ready, there are many, lol..

Landon(Batman), Killian(Green Lantern), Noah(Spiderman)

:)

His cute little run!

My hunnie and I

Landon and his Godmother, Sophia.

Killian, Noah, Landon, and Aidan(Alligator)

I hope you all enjoyed your Halloween.
I definitely have lots of blogs to read and catch up on.

:)
