Another Holiday Without Daddy..

Wish Theron could be here to spend such a kid fun Holiday with his son. Landon is so excited, I know it would mean so much to the both of them if Theron could be here with them.

And what even sucks more, is that Theron will be home in less than 24 hours. I wish he could of been sent home one day early. Not too much to ask for, right?

I miss him so much.....

8 Mistakes That Most New Parents Make

1. Buying into the “Supermom” complex and not accepting help
No one can do it all — not even you — so it’s more important to just ask for the help that you need instead of piling too much onto your plate. If you’re doing everything at once, you’re not doing anything well.

2. Not taking care of yourself
You can’t help anyone else — especially your child — if you’re not healthy and happy. Spending a little time focusing on yourself — whether it’s a hobby, exercising, or just putting on a little pick-me-up makeup — can drastically improve every other aspect of your life, including parenting.

3. Not leaving the house
It’s easy to coop yourself up like a hermit during those tumultuous first months, but that just fuels a vicious cycle of isolation and a downer attitude. As difficult as it seems to shower and pack the diaper bag — just do it. Keep the diaper bag packed at all times (replenishing as you need), invest in some dry shampoo, and go get some fresh air.

4. Stressing about milestones
If you’re following those “what your baby should be doing” guidelines like a religious text, put down the book (or step away from the computer) and take a deep breath. Every baby develops at his or her own rate — faster at certain areas, slower at others — and there’s absolutely no reason to stress that 'Sophia' was crawling at 6 months but your 9-month-old 'Liam' is still scooting. In the scheme of life, those 3 months are a blink. Trust your pediatrician’s advice and stop stressing about the rest.

5. Stressing about everything else
When you bring a life into this world, suddenly life gets a lot scarier — from political turmoil to environmental pollution. Emotions intensify, “what ifs” buzz in our subconscious, and diseases are lurking on every surface. It’s impossible to completely stop this illogical yet compelling stress, but do your best to put everything into perspective.

6. Not documenting enough
Just keep snapping pictures, ladies. Snap, snap, snap. And I wish that I would have written more of my experiences during those fleeting first months.

7. Neglecting your relationship
Your children will eventually learn to walk away — strongly, independently — but hopefully your partner will still be there, holding your hand.

8. Not listening to your gut
Every person in your life — whether you know them or not — will be dishing out advice on everything from sleep training to parenting techniques. If something doesn't feel right to you, it probably isn't right for you. Listen to your mommy instinct.

Cute butts, pups and Birthdays

Landon is four years old now. And it's like he knows that with age, comes bigger boy responsibilities and actions. I'm not sure if it's just in my head, but to me, he seems to have changed his attitude. He's taking more showers now rather than baths, doesn't even need my help to get himself squeaky clean or dressed and ready for bed. He doesn't want me to read anymore, he wants to read to me. Little things, but they seem huge to me.

Theron was home for his baby's birthday also. Which we didn't think he would even make it. But he got news that afternoon that he was going home. So he made it to the evening party. Landon was so happy about it. He told him thank you for being home on my birthday, lol.

And we took a little trip to the Aquarium. I don't know if it was worth the money considering we were in and out in little over an hour. Landon sprinted through the whole thing too excited to take his time. He wanted to see some fish and sharks and didn't wanna wait to do it!(sharks were his fave) Silly little boy. Plus, it was a rainy day, so we had to skip the outside. But Landon's little adventurous self was so cute.

Landon wants to be a Pirate for Halloween. Can't wait to shop for his costume. And a pumpkin patch photoshoot is definitely in our near future. :)

Favorite of all seasons.

Poor Landon

Just a quick short post...

Theron hasn't even been out on the boat for two days yet, and Landon has already been begging me to take him to the airport to pick up his daddy. We both have a ways to go before that will happen. Breaks my heart to tell him there is no way he can have him right now. We just have to wait patiently. I wish I could fill the emptiness in Landon while Theron's gone. But there's no replacing that relationship. A child always needs his father and the mom can only do so much. I'll just be glad when he's done working on boats for good.

Preview of our photoshoot we had done. I can't wait to get all the pictures. :)

Lately

Long time, no post! Been incredibly busy this past week! Theron came home last week and we got to enjoy the company of his brother and his wife at our home while they came to visit and vacation for a few days! Landon being his shy quiet self, took a little while to warm up to his Uncle Nathan and Aunt Jenn that he is meeting for the first time. But once he did, he was quite the chatter box, :) Theron hasn't seen his brother in about 13 years I believe.. And for myself, it was the first time we met!  We had an absolute blast. Friday we drove a couple hours to Orlando for Wet n Wild, a water park. It was so fun! Saturday we all went to the beach, something they weren't used to and looking forward to(they're from Arkansas). And then that night we went out to a hip little bar/club called Gators. I think we went out to eat three times within two days! lol. Yum... Well, I only got a few photos cause in all the time that we were together, we were constantly on the go and really didn't have time for any.
Nathan and Theron.
Theron, Felicia, Nathan and his wife Jennifer!
dill pickle chips!
Nathan and Jenn with Landon and Noah! :)

We all had such a wonderful time. Next time we see them, Theron, Landon and I will be going to Arkansas! I've been enjoying my time with Theron, so happy he's home right now! But time to spend some time with my little family, just wanted to update my little blog.

Our new baby is finally here!

Finally, we were able to bring our baby home! He is exactly eight weeks old. He had his first vet visit and shots(poor baby) and he is as healthy as can be(yay!) He is 9lbs, such a little porker already. I had work today and it broke my heart having to leave him here that whole time! And of course he left a big mess for moma to clean up when she got home, hehe. Landon and I adorrre him to pieces and of course first night home, we let him sleep with us in the bed. He is such a snuggle bug. Always wants to be held and won't fall asleep for a nap unless he is in someones lap. :)

Theron's last day home..

Today is Theron's last day home. I unfortunately have to work *sad face*.. We had a wonderful Easter with both of our families.. We certainly ate to the point where we thought our tummies would explode. Landon Easter egg hunted with his cousins. They had the best time. I love this age he is in. He's starting to remember everything he does. Wherever we go and do, he'll have stashed away in a little part of his mind to think back on. :) Gonna go snuggle with babe and get every little bit of time I can with him today..

Here is a photo from Easter - mid egg hunt.

Newest addition to our family

Recently, our little family of three has become a little family of four. Last night Landon and I took a trip to see baby Sizer. He got so big within just one week! He's now walking, barking, chewing on his brothers and sisters - just all over the place! And I got to feed him his first meal that wasn't Mommy's milk(baby cereal, he didn't like it all that much) I definitely took my camera with me and will share with you our new little bundle of fur! :)

It was so cute watching them all get tired at the same time and trying to crawl on whoever they could to find a little spot to get cozy and sleep. I love this one of Landon and Sizer, melts my heart to pieces!

I can't wait to bring him home. Just a few more weeks.

Today through photos

Another Zoo day. We took my mom this time, she has never been, and she loved it. Is even considering a part time job there, all because she loves horses so much, lol. And we had such a great time! My favorite section had to be where we fed the birds. You get covered in birds - shoulders, head, arms, just for having a single little cup of food. Too awesome! And it amazed me how cool Landon was about them flying on him, he didn't care at all. It was his first time he ever ridden on a horse and naturally he loved it. I think the zoo has to be his favorite place ever. My little adventurous boy.  :)
